Session musicians include Jim Wynn (Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra), Robbie Moore (Delta Autumn), Tom Chapman (Birmingham Conservatoire, Urban Folk Quartet), Alicia Gardener-Trejo (Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra, Tom Dunnett Big Band) and more... Some of the festivals played include: Bristol Swing Exchange, Hep Cats Holiday, Swingin’ in the Rain, Wales and Birmingham Swing Exchange.

Saturday Grand Ball - 20.30 til 01.30:

Our Saturday Grand Ball will take place at the magnificent Birmingham Town Hall which has played host to none other than Count Basie as well as artists and acts including Edward Elgar, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen and The Rolling Stones. Dress to impress and enjoy hours of social dancing, competitions and performances.

Alongside some of the UK's top DJs, Jim Wynn Swing Orchestra, Birmingham’s hippest 16-piece big band will supply the music. Specialising in authentic vintage swing music from the 1930s and 40s and taking its inspiration from the big bands of the swing era, the Orchestra plays the classic original arrangements of Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Fletcher Henderson and Count Basie amongst others.  The Orchestra is a regular at swing dance events and their barnstorming set last year sure got the joint jumpin’!

And if you have any non-dancing friends or family who might was to come along and enjoy the spectacle, viewing seats in the circle are available here.

Sunday - 17.30 til LATE at Aston Students' Union:

On Sunday our Swing DJs will play some of the hottest jazz on offer. Afterwards, we'll follow this up with some 70s, 80s and 90s classics to groove on down to.
