Terms & Conditions
All bookings are accepted on the basis of these Terms & Conditions and that by making this booking you understand & agree to be bound to them at all times. "The organisers" are Stephen Badham (Hot Ginger) and Martyn Nelson (The Swing Era).
We draw your attention to our Cancellation Policy and also remind you that dancing is an aerobic activity, and that participation is at your own risk. Birmingham Swing Festival and their teachers cannot accept responsibility for any claim, loss or damage which may occur from your participation at Birmingham Swing Festival..
Payment
Payment for Birmingham Swing Festival will be due immediately upon registering. Payments made by PayPal may incur a small handling fee. Your place at Birmingham Swing Festival is not confirmed until payment is received. If you need to discuss payments options with the organisers, please email info@birminghamswingfestival.co.uk.

Cancellation
In the event that participants are unable to attend Birmingham Swing Festival, please note that the payment is non-refundable regardless of reason (illness, other engagement, poor weather, volcanic ash cloud etc). We suggest that you take out your own holiday or activity insurance to cover any unexpected situations. If the organisers cancel the event your payment will be refunded.
If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible via email at info@birminghamswingfestival.co.uk.

If one person in a registration partnership cancels, the other person will lose their place until they can be paired with another partner. If you want to nominate a new partner send an email to change the name on your registration.
Transfers
Birmingham Swing Festival passes cannot be sold, exchanged, changed or transferred to another person without the organisers' express permission.
If you wish to transfer or sell your ticket to another attendee you must first seek the permission of the organisers by emailing info@birminghamswingfestival.co.uk. You must only sell to someone attending in the same role (leader or follower) and dance style (Lindy Hop or Balboa) as you . You will bear the sole responsibility to exchange monies with the person you sell your ticket to. The organisers will not accept any liability for any claim, loss or damage that may occur.
Leader/Follower Ratio
Birmingham Swing Festival will attempt to maintain a reasonable balance between leaders and followers and may do so by controlling the number of available leader and follower registrations at any time, as deemed appropriate. This will be communicated via our website, email, and/or social media sites.

Competitions
Each competitor must have a workshop pass to enter competitions. Each competitor must be present at the competitor’s meeting, otherwise they may not be able to compete. Competitors are expected to behave with courtesy and professionalism at all times. A competing couple consists of one leader & one follower.

Disclaimer
Dancing is an aerobic activity and dancers participate at their own risk, fully understanding that injury or loss is their own responsibility and that the organisers cannot be held responsible in any circumstance.
Admission
We adhere to the STEPS Safety in Swing Dance code of conduct. This code forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
The organisers and their team have a right to work in a non-threatening environment. The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission and/or contact with any person who displays verbal, physical and/or threatening behaviour. Our attendees have a right to enjoy dancing in a safe and enjoyable environment where appropriate etiquette and behaviours are expected. The organisers reserve the right to ask any person who displays inappropriate behaviour to leave the event with no liability for any claim, loss or damage which may occur. The organisers also reserve the right to turn down registrations or refuse entry to any part of the event at any time.

Regarding the level assessment, You agree to abide by the decision of the instructors and attend the level that you are placed in.
Changes
The organisers reserve the right to make any change to the classes, workshops, teachers, venues & prices without prior notice. Before travelling to Birmingham Swing Festival, please check this website for the latest updates or email info@birminghamswingfestival.co.uk. During the Birmingham Swing Festival, please look out for updates on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news. In the event of an extreme weather event, we reserve the right to run the event with any teacher lineup that is able to attend. We reserve the right to use alternate teachers if extreme weather prevents teachers from reaching the event.
Filming and Photography
Anyone attending Birmingham Swing Festival agrees that they can be filmed, photographed or appear in any other form of media which may be used for the organisers' promotional purposes. All recordings (film, digital media, photographs or video) at Birmingham Swing Festival remain the copyright and property of the organisers and may be used by them at any time in any media, in perpetuity. Personal film or digital recording of the classes is not permitted without prior agreement of the teachers concerned. Please check with those appearing in personal photographs or videos before publishing. Commercial photography is not permitted, unless with the express permission of the organisers.
At any time the organisers' decision on any matter which may arise is final and attendees accept and understand that by registering they are bound at all times by the above terms and conditions and accept that the organisers reserve the right to amend or alter any information they have or may publish from time to time in connection with this event and such is incorporated within said terms and conditions.

We’re Birmingham Swing Festival, which is run by two swing dance organisations in Birmingham: Hot Ginger and The Swing Era.

Any sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is encrypted and protected with the following software 128 Bit encryption on SSL.
